Size 8.25
Every sapphire is different, and they come in many colours. Because they are are extremely resistant and stable, they lend themselves best (other than diamonds) for being put into a ring. This one is a fancy red colour, is 6mm in diameter, and weighs 3/4 carat (0.75ct). The stone looks different in the images because the photos were done at different sessions, with two different cameras.
The sterling silver ring is a size 8.25, and the setting is 18k yellow gold.
Did you know that sapphires come in all kinds of colours? All members of the corundum species share a common chemical composition and crystal structure while trace amounts of different chemical elements are responsible for the various colours of the different varieties. Sapphire, when blue, is coloured by small amounts of iron (Fe) or a combination of iron and titanium (Ti). These elements absorb portions of the visible light spectrum producing the blue colour we perceive.
With each Onefooter being unique, and each sapphire being unique, every single ring will be different. I still have a great selection of excellent sapphires, most of them completely untreated. Custom Rings
